Board-Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Tilt is passionate about both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. She understands that reconstruction after cancer is not simply a surgery, it is a journey – and she dedicates herself to accompanying her patients every step of the way. She also appreciates the power of cosmetic surgery to help patients look and feel their best. As a mom of two, she personally empathizes with her female patients seeking breast and body surgery. She has a keen aesthetic eye and focuses on technical excellence with every procedure, both reconstructive and cosmetic. Patients particularly appreciate her warm nature and genuine personal attention, from initial consultation to years post op.
A native of New England, Dr. Tilt graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in History of Science. She ventured south to the University of Virginia, where she earned her medical degree and graduated with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then spent six years training in Washington, DC in the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program at Georgetown University Hospital, serving as Chief Resident during her final year.
Throughout residency Dr. Tilt engaged in advancing the field of plastic surgery through clinical research, authoring over 14 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. She has been recognized by the Georgetown faculty for her excellence in clinical skills and by the medical students for her dedication to teaching. With her creative spirit and drive for improving efficiency in the operating room, she also developed a patented surgical drape that is now commercially sold by a large medical supplier. Dr. Tilt is still actively engaged in medical innovation, bringing to life new ideas to improve the outcomes of her patients and those around the world.
When not treating patients, Dr. Tilt loves spending time with her husband, a Navy orthopedic surgeon, their two young daughters and yellow lab. Her hobbies include fly fishing, horseback riding, sailing, drawing and painting, and enjoying the outdoors.
